Hello again! Welcome to my second blog! Hopefully I will really be able to keep this up!
So, tonight was another mediocre night for American Idol. I think there may be some mixed emotions out there, but I am really less than impressed with the new judges. They are too nice and are going to have to grow a backbone if this is going to be a successful season! We can't put mediocre or bad people through because they cry. Also, what's up with all the bleeping Steven Tyler? American Idol used to be a family show. Simon was as mean as they come (also humorous and intelligent) and I hardly ever saw them have to bleep anything he said! American Idol is just going to become what most reality shows are in general - trash. I'm hoping the judges will get it together and find some awesome contestants to turn this season around! But without witty Simon and crazy Paula, I'm just not sure that's going to happen.
P.S. Is it just me, or does it seem that kids who are 15 are just WAY too young to be moving to California by themselves and living away from their parents? Not sure I like the new age requirements. I don't know a fifteen year olds are going to be able to handle it!
Onto my favorite show - The Office! SO glad this show is back on TV and back into my life! Tonight's episode definitely did not disappoint! The whole basis of the show tonight was awesome! I loved everyone's New Year's resolutions - especially Creed wanting to do a cart wheel! He is the most random character and I love it! Also, so glad Holly seems to finally have gotten rid of her man. She and Michael belong together and the world has been waiting long enough for it to happen! Only a few months from now Michael Scott will officially be off of the show. We have no idea why or how it will happen, but if he doesn't end up with Holly (seeing that his goal from episode 1 was to get married and have kids) there will be a cry of outrage from Office fans everywhere! Also, I wish The Office producers would do us all a favor and just cancel the show at the end of the season. I'll admit that the majority of characters are hilarious and lovable, but the show will be nothing without Steve Carell. Let's have the show end on a good note, not get canceled due to poor ratings!
For the first time tonight I also watched Parks and Recreation. I must say that it is a pretty funny show. It has a good storyline and I loved all of the different personalities of the characters. Rob Lowe was cracking me up, along with the guy reffing the basketball game! I will definitely be tuning in again next week to see what is going to happen next!
Shows to look out for:
Don't forget that Fringe starts up tonight! FOX at 9/8c! Make sure to watch - it's awesome!
The guy reffing the basketball game is Aziz Ansari.
